Nutrition status linked to surgery recovery risks

Summary

This study aims to understand how malnutrition affects breathing and kidney function recovery in patients undergoing POEM surgery for esophageal achalasia. Researchers will follow 60 patients to see if their nutritional status before surgery predicts complications after the procedure. The study will track patients for three months after surgery to monitor their recovery.
