Pioneering trial aims to reverse male infertility caused by medical treatments

NCT ID NCT04452305

RECRUITING ⭐️ CURE ⭐️ Sponsor: University of Pittsburgh Source: ClinicalTrials.gov ↗

Summary

This study is testing two experimental procedures to help men regain their fertility after treatments like chemotherapy damaged their sperm production. It's for men who froze a small piece of testicular tissue before their treatment began. Researchers will either inject the stored cells back into the testicle or graft small pieces of tissue under the skin to see if sperm production can be safely restored.
