Scientists test daily pill for men to prevent pregnancy
NCT ID NCT01382069
Summary
This early-stage study tested the safety of a new experimental pill called DMAU, intended for use as a male contraceptive. Researchers gave the pill to 100 healthy men, first as a single dose and then daily for 28 days, to check for side effects and see how the body processes it. The goal is to gather initial data to see if this pill could one day be a safe and effective option for birth control.
