New malaria cure strategy put to the test in peru clinics
NCT ID NCT05361486
Summary
This study tested whether health workers in Peru could successfully use a new treatment plan to cure a recurring type of malaria. The plan involved a simple blood test to check patient safety, followed by one of two stronger cure medications. Researchers trained staff, provided support tools, and tracked how well 187 patients were managed to see if this approach could work in real clinics.
