Scientists test Next-Gen malaria shot designed to stop parasite in its tracks
NCT ID NCT06652737
Summary
This is a first-in-human safety study of a new malaria vaccine. It will be given to 75 healthy adults and children in Burkina Faso who have been exposed to malaria before. The vaccine uses a weakened malaria parasite that gets trapped and destroyed in the liver, aiming to safely teach the body to fight future infections without causing illness.
