Scientists test new shot to block malaria infection
NCT ID NCT07124156
Summary
This study is testing a new malaria vaccine called SUM-101 to see if it is safe and can protect adults from getting sick with malaria. Researchers will give the vaccine to 24 healthy adults in Tanzania who have likely been exposed to malaria before. To test if the vaccine works, participants will later be deliberately exposed to malaria parasites in a controlled, hospital setting to see if the vaccine delays or prevents infection.
