Summary

This study aimed to understand how malaria parasites change form to be transmitted from humans to mosquitoes. Researchers developed a tool that measures specific markers in the blood to estimate how many parasites are switching to this transmissible form. The study involved 458 people with and without malaria symptoms in Burkina Faso.
