Mass drug campaign aims to wipe out hidden malaria carriers in senegal
NCT ID NCT07281443
Summary
This study is testing a new strategy to reduce malaria transmission in Senegal by targeting people who carry the malaria parasite without showing symptoms. It involves giving preventive malaria drugs to everyone in selected communities twice a year, combined with extra testing and treatment for young adults who are most at risk. The goal is to see if this approach, added to current methods like bed nets, can significantly lower the number of infections and cases of malaria in the region.
