Summary
This study tests a new device called magnetocardiography (MCG) that measures the heart's magnetic field. Researchers want to see if it can quickly and accurately tell if chest pain is caused by reduced blood flow to the heart (a heart attack). About 1,000 adults coming to the emergency room with chest pain will be scanned with MCG, and results will be compared to standard tests. If successful, this tool could help doctors diagnose heart attacks faster and more accurately.
