Zapping the itch: magnetic therapy trial targets burn scar suffering
NCT ID NCT07443358
Summary
This study aims to see if a non-invasive treatment using pulsed electromagnetic fields can reduce severe, long-lasting itching in people with burn scars. It will involve 40 adults aged 25-40 who have had second or third-degree burns for at least 3 months and still experience significant itch. The main goal is to measure if this therapy can lower itch intensity and improve daily life for burn survivors.
