Magnetic pulses target pain, could reduce need for opioids

NCT ID NCT07199361

Summary

This study aims to understand how a non-invasive magnetic stimulation device helps relieve chronic pain from surgery or injury. Researchers will enroll 50 people with chronic pain to receive magnetic stimulation at their pain site for four days. They will measure pain levels and analyze blood samples before and after treatment to see how the body's natural pain-relief and inflammation signals change.
