Magnets could replace staples in colon surgery
NCT ID NCT07431723
Summary
This study is testing a magnetic device system to connect bowel sections during colon surgery. The magnets create a temporary connection that can be reversed without leaving foreign material like staples or stitches behind. Researchers will enroll 50 participants needing colorectal surgery to evaluate if the system is safe and works effectively.
