Magnets tested to heal colon surgery without stitches
NCT ID NCT06915818
Summary
This study is testing a new medical device that uses magnets to reconnect sections of the colon after surgery, instead of traditional stitches or staples. The goal is to see if this method is safe and effective for patients having part of their colon removed. Researchers will follow 65 patients to check if the magnet connection holds without needing another operation within 30 days.
