First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding magnesium sulphate to standard nerve blocks can better control pain after breast removal surgery. Sixty women scheduled for a mastectomy will receive either the standard nerve block or one with added magnesium. The goal is to see if the magnesium helps reduce the need for strong painkillers and lowers both short-term and long-term pain.
