Magnesium shot tested to ease agony after breast cancer surgery

NCT ID NCT07438366

Summary

This study aims to see if adding magnesium sulfate to two standard nerve blocks can better control pain after breast removal surgery (mastectomy). Researchers will compare how long pain relief lasts and how much opioid pain medication is needed in the first 24 hours after surgery. The goal is to find a safer way to manage pain and potentially reduce the risk of long-term pain developing.
