First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 33 times
Summary
This study will enroll 1,500 adults with pacemakers or defibrillators to see if it's safe to have an MRI in situations not yet well-studied, such as with older leads or at higher magnetic strengths. Participants will undergo a clinically needed MRI and be monitored for heart rhythm changes or heart muscle damage. The goal is to expand safe MRI access for millions of people with these devices.
