First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 31 times
Summary
This study will enroll 1500 adults with pacemakers or defibrillators to see if having an MRI is safe in situations not yet well-studied, such as using a stronger 3-tesla magnet or having older or mixed-brand devices. Participants will undergo a clinically needed MRI while researchers monitor for heart rhythm changes or other complications. The goal is to gather evidence that could expand MRI access for many people who currently have limited options.
