First seen Jan 24, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study tests a new balloon coated with sirolimus (MagicTouch) against an existing paclitaxel-coated balloon for treating blocked leg arteries. About 478 adults with severe blockages in the thigh or knee arteries will be randomly assigned to one balloon type. The goal is to see if the new balloon works as well or better at keeping arteries open and preventing complications over one year.
