First seen Feb 03, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study evaluates a new point-of-care device called MaGIA IBC that can screen for HIV, hepatitis B, and hepatitis C from a single blood sample (from a finger prick or vein). About 252 adults with known or suspected infections will participate to see how accurate the device is compared to standard lab tests. The goal is to provide fast, reliable results in one visit, making screening easier and more accessible.
