New study aims to link eye scans and vision in macular dystrophy

NCT ID NCT07171541

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 03, 2026 · Updated 32 times

Summary

This study will look at 30 people with macular dystrophy, a disease that damages the central part of the retina. Researchers will use two types of eye tests—an optical scan and an electrical response test—to see how they relate to the person's vision sharpness. The goal is to better understand the disease, not to test a new treatment.
