Tiny bypass surgery aims to stop debilitating arm swelling in cancer survivors

NCT ID NCT07233863

Summary

This study is testing whether a delicate microsurgery procedure can help prevent arm swelling (lymphedema) in breast cancer patients who have had lymph nodes removed. Researchers are comparing the surgery to physical therapy alone. The goal is to see if connecting tiny lymphatic vessels to veins can improve fluid drainage and stop swelling from getting worse.
