New chemo approach aims to stop lymphoma from spreading to the brain

NCT ID NCT05257018

Summary

This study is testing whether adding a spinal fluid injection of methotrexate to a standard lymphoma chemotherapy regimen can prevent cancer from spreading to the brain and spinal cord in high-risk patients. The trial will enroll 83 adults with newly diagnosed diffuse large B-cell lymphoma who have features that make brain relapse more likely. Researchers will track whether this combined approach reduces brain relapse rates over two years while monitoring safety.
