New hope for chagas: can LXE408 wipe out the parasite?

Summary
This study tests a new drug called LXE408 in 130 adults with chronic Chagas disease who do not have severe organ damage. The goal is to see if the drug can clear the Chagas parasite from the blood for at least 6 months. Participants will receive either LXE408 or a placebo, and neither they nor their doctors will know which they got. The study is currently recruiting.
