First seen May 04, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tests a special light cap (LUCID) in 30 infants with heart disease who have a cardiac arrest in the hospital. The cap delivers near-infrared light to the brain to reduce damage from blood flow returning after the heart restarts. The goal is to see if the cap is safe and may improve brain function and survival.
