Can a storyteller calm kids before surgery?
NCT ID NCT03740841
Summary
This small pilot study tested whether a special interactive storytelling device called LUNII could help reduce anxiety in young children before they had bone graft surgery for cleft lip and palate. Researchers wanted to see if using the device also helped with pain after surgery and shortened hospital stays. The study involved 15 children aged 4 to 6, comparing those who used the device before surgery to those who did not.
