Silent lung water found in swimmers?
NCT ID NCT06984120
Summary
This study aimed to understand a condition called swimming-induced pulmonary edema, where fluid builds up in the lungs. Researchers checked 609 swimmers who felt fine after a race, using lung ultrasounds to see if they had hidden lung water. The goal was to learn how common this is and what factors might cause it, to improve safety for swimmers.
