Heart surgery breathing tubes: which is safer for lungs?

NCT ID NCT06299735

Summary

This study compared two different breathing tube setups used to collapse one lung during minimally invasive heart surgery. Researchers wanted to see which method—a double-lumen tube or a bronchial blocker—better protected patients' lung function after surgery. They measured lung complications, procedure time, and side effects like sore throat in 66 adult patients.
