Could a simple scan replace X-Rays for dangerous lung collapse?

NCT ID NCT06022081

Summary

This study is testing whether a lung ultrasound performed by medical trainees is as good as a standard chest X-ray at finding a collapsed lung (pneumothorax) after a chest tube is removed. It involves 60 heart surgery and trauma patients. The goal is to see if this faster, safer, and more portable method can improve diagnosis and patient care.
