Summary
This study tests a new breathing machine strategy for people with a specific type of severe lung injury called focal ARDS. The strategy uses lung ultrasound to guide settings and includes techniques to reopen collapsed lung areas. The goal is to reduce the number of days patients need a breathing tube. The study will enroll 84 adults who have been on a ventilator for less than 24 hours.
