NCT ID NCT07384572
First seen Feb 03, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study looks at whether keeping patients breathing on their own during and after lung transplant surgery can help very underweight people recover faster. It will include 56 adults with end-stage lung disease and a very low body mass index. The main goals are to see if fewer patients need a breathing tube after surgery, if hospital stays are shorter, and if more patients survive the first month.
