Doctors test combo therapy to protect new lungs from Patient's own immune system

NCT ID NCT03798860

Summary

This study monitored a treatment for lung transplant patients whose bodies developed harmful antibodies against their new organ. It followed 340 patients to see if a combination of antibody-cleaning therapies could remove these damaging antibodies. The goal was to help the transplanted lung survive longer and prevent the body from rejecting it.
