Summary

This study looked at how different levels of pressure on a breathing machine affect the lungs and heart after a special lung-opening procedure during surgery. 101 adults having laparoscopic colorectal cancer surgery took part. The goal was to find the best pressure level to keep lungs open without causing side effects, and to see how often the opening procedure should be repeated.
