Doctors probe link between surgery breathing machines and patient lung problems

NCT ID NCT07431242

Summary

This study aims to understand if certain settings on the breathing machine used during keyhole abdominal surgery are linked to lung problems after the operation. Researchers will observe 90 patients, recording the machine's settings during their surgery without changing their normal care. The goal is to gather information that could help make future surgeries safer by identifying ventilation patterns that might harm the lungs.
