Doctors test how long 'Lung Reopening' trick lasts during surgery
NCT ID NCT07161466
Summary
This study looked at how different pressure settings on a breathing machine affect patients during surgery. Researchers tested 101 adults having colorectal cancer surgery to see how long a special 'lung reopening' technique kept working and how it impacted blood pressure. The goal was to help doctors decide how often to use this technique to protect patients' lungs during operations.
