New lung biopsy technique aims for better diagnosis

NCT ID NCT07326072

Summary

This study aims to find out if a newer biopsy method using a freezing probe is better than the standard forceps method for diagnosing small lung nodules. About 228 adults with lung nodules that need a biopsy will be randomly assigned to get one of the two procedures, guided by a special electromagnetic navigation system. The main goal is to see which method is more effective at getting a clear diagnosis and which is safer.
