Scientists map lung bugs to predict deadly transplant complications
NCT ID NCT06639750
Summary
This study aims to understand if the types of viruses and bacteria in the lungs can predict who will develop serious breathing problems after a stem cell transplant. Researchers will collect samples from 120 adult transplant patients to create a detailed map of their lung microbes. The goal is to find early warning signs that could help doctors provide more personalized care and prevent complications.
