First seen Mar 29, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study looks at whether adjusting a breathing machine during laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (weight-loss surgery) can help patients' lungs work better and reduce breathing problems after surgery. About 46 adults with a BMI between 35 and 40 will take part. Researchers will compare two ventilator settings to see which one improves lung function and oxygen levels.
