Scientists hunt for blood clues to track rare lung disease

NCT ID NCT07304856

Summary

This study aims to understand if tiny particles in the blood, called extracellular vesicles, can serve as useful markers for a rare lung disease called LAM. Researchers will collect blood samples and health data from 80 women with LAM, a related condition called TSC, and healthy volunteers. The goal is to see if these particles can help doctors better monitor the disease's progression and the effects of treatment.
