New lung reopening technique tested in ICU patients
NCT ID NCT07442708
Summary
This study compares two methods to reopen collapsed sections of the lung in patients on breathing machines in the intensive care unit. One method uses a small camera to guide air pressure directly to the blocked area, while the other applies pressure to the entire lung through the ventilator. Researchers will monitor 20 patients to see which approach is safer and more effective at improving lung function.
