Robot ventilator aims to stop lungs from failing after surgery
NCT ID NCT07349784
Summary
This study is testing if a special, automated breathing technique used during surgery can prevent lung collapse, a common problem after major colon surgery. Researchers will compare this new technique to standard care in 56 patients. They will use a simple ultrasound scan to check the lungs before, during, and after the operation to see which method works better.
