New combo therapy aims to outsmart tough lung cancer

NCT ID NCT04919382

Summary

This study is testing if combining two drugs, temozolomide and atezolizumab, can help control advanced small cell lung cancer that has worsened after initial treatment. It aims to see if this combination can help patients live longer by using chemotherapy to attack cancer cells and immunotherapy to help the body's own immune system fight the cancer. The trial will enroll about 56 adults to compare two different dosing schedules.
