New attack on tough lung cancer: shrink tumors first, then operate

NCT ID NCT06449313

Summary

This study is testing a specific treatment plan for people with a hard-to-treat form of advanced lung cancer that has spread to distant lymph nodes. The goal is to see if giving a combination of chemotherapy and immunotherapy drugs *before* surgery can shrink the cancer enough to allow for a successful operation. After surgery, patients receive more immunotherapy for a year to try to keep the cancer from coming back.
