New combo therapy aims to shrink lung cancer recurrence

NCT ID NCT06771518

First seen Jun 07, 2026 · Last updated Jun 11, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests whether adding chest radiation to maintenance immunotherapy (atezolizumab) can reduce the chance of cancer returning in the chest for people with extensive-stage small cell lung cancer. About 37 adults whose cancer has shrunk after initial chemo-immunotherapy will receive radiation alongside continued atezolizumab. The goal is to see if this combination keeps the cancer under control better than immunotherapy alone.
