Scientists test timing tweak in lung cancer fight

NCT ID NCT03307759

Summary

This small, early-stage study aimed to find the safest and most effective way to combine two treatments for advanced lung cancer that has spread: a type of precise, high-dose radiation and an immunotherapy drug. Researchers tested whether giving the immunotherapy before or after the radiation worked better. The main goal was to check for serious side effects, and the study was stopped early after enrolling only 13 people.
