Summary

This study tested if adding two immunotherapy drugs (nivolumab and ipilimumab) to standard chemotherapy works better than chemotherapy alone as the first treatment for advanced non-small cell lung cancer that has spread. It involved 719 adults with newly diagnosed stage IV lung cancer who had not received prior treatment. The main goal was to see if the combination helped patients live longer.
