Doctors test direct tumor chemo shot to boost lung cancer surgery success
NCT ID NCT04809103
Summary
This early-stage study tested injecting a chemotherapy drug (cisplatin) directly into lung tumors before surgery. The goal was to see if this targeted approach is safe and might help the immune system fight cancer cells. Six people with early-stage, operable non-small cell lung cancer participated to find the highest safe dose.
