New personalized combo therapy trial aims to extend lives in tough lung cancer

Summary
This study is testing a personalized approach to treat advanced squamous non-small cell lung cancer. It will give patients a combination of an immunotherapy drug (cemiplimab) and one of two different chemotherapy regimens. The specific chemotherapy chosen for each patient is based on the level of a particular enzyme in their blood, aiming to match the treatment to their biology. The main goal is to see if this personalized strategy helps patients live longer.
