Could a common allergy pill boost lung cancer treatment?

NCT ID NCT07358689

Summary

This study is testing if adding an over-the-counter allergy medication (diphenhydramine) to standard chemotherapy and immunotherapy improves results for people with operable non-small cell lung cancer. About 120 participants will receive the drug combination before surgery and then continue maintenance therapy for over a year afterward. The main goal is to see if this approach helps eliminate more cancer cells in the removed tumor and improves long-term survival.
