Summary
This study tested whether adding an experimental drug called OSI-906 to an existing lung cancer drug (erlotinib) could help keep advanced lung cancer from getting worse for a longer time. It involved 205 adults whose cancer had not progressed after four rounds of standard chemotherapy. The main goal was to see if the two-drug combination was better at delaying cancer progression than erlotinib alone.
