New approach targets 'Hard-to-Reach' lung spots before surgery

NCT ID NCT04047186

Summary

This small pilot study tested whether giving an immunotherapy drug before surgery could help shrink early-stage lung tumors that appear as multiple, hazy spots (nodules). The goal was to see if this approach could improve the body's immune response against the cancer and potentially reduce the risk of it coming back after surgery. Researchers measured how well the tumors responded to the drug and monitored for side effects.
